About Silex

Silex was established in May 1990, as an engineering company, to develop high-tech industrial products. During the course of years vehicle electronics and electro-mechanics have become the main area of our activity. These products and services are sold mainly for commercial vehicles, but railway applications and military vehicles play also an important role in our business.

Silex supply reliable, long life products, for goods, which are designed for 15+ years of lifetime. Our philosophy is to sell confidence much more than just sell products and services. This has been Silex’s key success factor in the past and it remains also in the future.

Silex’s vision is to become a one-stop-shop supplier of electric commercial vehicles’ power-train and electric/electronic control.

Silex is developing its electric axle family as an integrated power-train module to support sustainable mobility, and to contribute to the zero emission vehicles and the very latest, light weight electric vehicles development.

During 25+ years of Silex’s history, Silex has developed products and know-how, which serve as a basis of the vision:

• Hundreds of complete vehicle controls have been developed, manufactured and installed for buses (diesel, trolley, hybrid and full electric), trucks, agricultural machines, mobile cranes, etc.
• Electric drives, innovative battery chargers, DC/DC converters and other power electronic units have been developed for automotive and industrial applications.
• A controller (HW+SW) has been developed and validated to synchronise axles with very high accuracy.
• Silex has become a member of an experts’ network, designing different vehicles and vehicle parts

All these products have already been proven in industrial environment.
