The integrated solutions offered by Silex includes the power-train and the electronic elements, even from third party suppliers. As the designer and the manufacturer of the vehicle electronic control components and the electric axle, Silex offers system warrantee covering all the elements and the collaboration between them.

Special attention on the application of the new, ISO 26 262:2018 standard

ISO 26 262:2018 addresses possible hazards caused by malfunctioning behaviour of safety-related E/E systems, including interaction of these systems. The application of the standard will be mandatory for all commercial vehicles, so vehicle manufacturers have to deal with the issue. The quality of the design and the manufacturing of the Silex Integrated System and its elements are based on ISO 26 262:2018 qualification.

Three offered packages with different service levels:

Silex Integrated System: Silex is the one and only manufacturer in the world, which manufactures both of the two key parts of commercial electric vehicles: the integrated power-train (electric axles) and the CAN control systems. As such, Silex has the unique know-how to provide vehicle manufacturers a full-scale, integrated package of the vehicle’s drive and control.

CAN control system: Safety is a crucial issue for commercial vehicles, both for buses and for trucks, since a failure may cause serious injuries or even threaten lives. While regulations for breaks and steering have to be applied for all vehicles classes, another safety critical part, doors, are specific only for buses. Qualification by ISO 26 262 and other mandatory UN/ECE regulations (e.g. R10 for EMC, R13 for brakes and R79 for steering) are managed by Silex in this package, saving a lot of time and energy for the vehicle manufacturer.

CAN control package: Silex offers inexpensive CAN control package (complete electric systems) for all kinds of commercial vehicles (electric, hybrid, gas, diesel) to the end user does not expect ISO 26 262:2018 qualification.
